​                             ANALOGY OF SOUL AND BODY

Your soul is a spiritual creation of God that records and contains the complete history of you and your entire life.  All of your thoughts are recorded.  All of your emotional responses are recorded.  All you have ever experienced via your 5 senses is recorded.  All of your activities and personal interactions are recorded.  All of your physical makeup, DNA, etc. and physical appearance has been recorded.  All of your memories, beliefs and motives are recorded.  You and everything that can be known about you physically, mentally and spiritually is recorded and retained by your soul.  Your soul is the complete memory of you!

 Much like a computer stores information in the cloud, information about you is stored in the soul.

Your soul first begins the recording of you and your life at conception.

After you die, your soul continues to exist but your biological life is over and your body returns to dust. GENESIS 3:19   "In the sweat of your face shall you eat bread, till you return unto the ground; for out of it were you taken: for dust you are, and unto dust shall you return."  You are no longer conscious but metaphorically you and your soul are sleeping and resting in peace until Jesus raises you from death back to life.  1 THESSALONIANS 4:16   "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first."   True Christians will receive an eternal, incorruptible, immortal life and body.  1 CORINTHIANS 15:54   "So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory."  Others are raised back to mortal life at a later resurrection because they did not hear or believe and accept the True Gospel of Salvation.  REVELATION 20:5 "The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended."   

The soul is not immortal.  It can be destroyed and many souls will be destroyed.  MATTHEW 10:28   "And fear not them who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him [God] who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."  God can destroy both body and soul.  This is the second death from which there is no resurrection.  REVELATION 21:8   "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

The spiritual soul itself is not a sentient conscious living being or animated entity but the soul, with its content, is preserved for purposes of judgment and resurrection.  A dead human being no longer needs to possess a soul because a dead person’s activity and thoughts have perished.  ECCLESIASTES 9:5 "For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything," But God stores away the soul and its memory of each person who dies until He decides to raise them to life again at a resurrection.  God judges you based on the content and character of your soul.

If you are saved before you die, your soul contains that information also and you will be in the First Resurrection and the Second Death does not apply to you  REVELATION 20:6  "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."

At the Last Trump, Jesus will bring with Him the saved souls of all who believed and received the True Gospel of Salvation and God will unite each saved soul with a new spiritual flesh and bone body, giving them Eternal Life and they will rule and reign with Jesus on earth.  This will be the First Resurrection which is a better resurrection.    

The soul, in a sense, first becomes alive or active when life begins at conception.  The soul is activated at conception and continues to document and store information until the person dies.

In Adams case, his body and soul became activated or alive at the time God breathed the breath of life into Adam's lungs.  The soul is not indestructible or immortal.  MATTHEW 10:28   "And fear not them who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." 

A computer, in many ways, could be compared to our brain. The computer initially has enough programming to operate as a computer should in order to take in information and store it in the cloud.  A Human brain initially has enough programming to operate as a Human brain should in order to take in information and store it in the soul.  Other than initial programming, both computers and Human brains start off as blank slates and are programmed by others.  There are those who program computers and those who program Human brains.  The difference is, a computer cannot decide or choose what information it will be programmed with but a Human can decide and choose what information he or she will allow themselves to be programmed with.  There are many false programmers (preachers) in the world. 

Don’t be as a mindless computer that would accept lies, such as  2+ 2 = 3 and don’t believe a preacher who says you are immortal or that you have an immortal soul.  That is the same lie Satan used to deceive Eve.  Satan said, “You shall not surely die”.  Death has reigned ever since.

If we are in the First Resurrection we will put on immortality and never die! 

1st Corinthians 15:50-54  “I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.  Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—  in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.  For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.  When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”
